For 22 years the Hot Hundred has been The Hottest Ride In The South. We aim to improve the rider experience every year. Come see what all the hype is about!
The History
Route Options
We have six route options ranging in distance from 30 miles to 116 miles. All routes are very well supported with rest stops.
Good Cause
Funds raised via sponsorships and registration fees support the Tuscaloosa Mental Health Alliance, a nonprofit organization which assists those affected by mental health through education, awareness, support and collaboration.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I cancel my registration?
You may cancel your registration, however, there are no refunds. All registration fees already paid will be donations to benefit the Tuscaloosa Mental Health Alliance.
Will there be mechanics on site?
Absolutely. You will frequently see our SAG drivers on the route. They will have basic tools for repairing flats as well as minor adjustments. If you have a more serious problem, SAG drivers will do their best to connect you with a bike mechanic. A mechanic area will also be set up at the start/finish for any issues you may have.
How fast do I have to ride?
The Hot Hundred is not a race, however, there are cutoff times for the 100 mile and 116 mile routes for your own safety. Information on those will be shared before the ride.
How is the route marked?
Within the city limits of Tuscaloosa, you will see signs place periodically by the event organizers notifying you of upcoming turns. Once outside the city limits, the road will be clearly marked with marking paint of different colors for different route distances.
What should I bring?
Safety is our number one concern. It will likely be very hot on the day of the ride. You should have two water bottles on your bike so that you can stay hydrated between rest stops. We would highly recommend sunscreen to protect your skin. Spare tubes are also an excellent choice in case of a flat.
